Massimo Di Fulvio

PhD Student · Cycle 41

Supervised by Andrea Manes

Research

Massimo's research focuses on the numerical modelling of materials and structures under extreme loading conditions, such as low- to high-velocity impacts. He simulates the behaviour of ceramics, advanced metals, composites and metamaterials using explicit finite element and particle-based (SPH, DEM) methods and calibrates and validates those models against experiments.
